Beyond Leidsche Rijn
In 2009 plaatste meerjarig kunstenprogramma Beyond Leidsche Rijn bij wijze van afscheid zeven beelden in het Máximapark. Zeven kunstwerken van vermaarde (inter)nationale makers, die het hele jaar door te bezichtigen zijn. Met Zingende Beelden brengt Cultuur19 de imposante kunstwerken in het Máximapark op een bijzondere muzikale of theatrale wijze onder de aandacht bij jong en oud.

Seven impressive works of art are to be discovered in the Máximapark, just across the 'yellow bridge' in Utrecht's youngest urban city district Leidsche Rijn. From the towering Observatorium (Lucas Lenglet) to the thought provoking Barricade by Fernando Sánchez Castillo and the playful Rituele Depositie (Mathilde ter Heijne): all works have their own specific story to tell.
Zingende Beelden is an annual dance event organised by Cultuur19 that will take you on an inspiring walk from art piece to art piece, while young dance companies, both professional companies and non-professional local groups, perform along the route. You will get to discover new talent, the art works and the park in an all-encompassing experience.
